The canoe kayak competitions at the 2024 Summer Olympics take place from July 27 to August 5 for the slalom. The events take place at the Nautical Stadium of Vaires-sur-Marne, in Seine-et-Marne, which also hosts the rowing and paracanoe competitions of the Paralympic Games. Despite discussions about its accessibility by public transport, special shuttle buses are set up to facilitate access from the surrounding train stations.
Athletes compete in whitewater slalom events, where they have to navigate through gates. Two new extreme slalom (KX) events are introduced, replacing two road race events, with new coding to designate the different disciplines.
