Because Museum of the moon has lost none of its celestial beauty and offers itself as an invitation to reverie and cosmic contemplation. It is the work of artist Luke Jerram, who interrogates public space by creating large-scale sculptures, installations and performances. In 2016, he embarked on the construction of a seven-metre-diameter moon, a structure filled with air and lit from the inside, with a very high-resolution print of NASA images.
Suspended in the main courtyard of the Lycée Jacques Decour, it will follow the usual functioning of the place, its schedules as well as its uses. It will shine as much during the day as during the night so that everyone can come and dream in the moonlight and let themselves be overwhelmed by this striking spectacle!
